I apologize for the large (C) on it, but I've had some trouble lately, and unfortunately this is the only way I think I can discourage people :/
Well, this picture started out SO different, and I still have the original saved to work on at a later date. That one is (believe it or not) more personal, and I want to get it exactly right. This spawned from that idea, somehow, even though the only thing they have in common is the background xD;
I put a lot of my own emotion into the making of this, dredged up the bottom of the barrel of my insides while I painted the details, and just sort of let it go where it would. And then when my media player started on 'Farther Away' by Evanescence, I knew what to title it ^^
How this fits the contest theme? Relationships aren't always the joy and beautiful emotions, they scream, rip, writhe and claw at your soul, and sometimes, your left reaching for the wisps and ghosts in the air all by yourself, left with nothing but smoke and stardust, begging for yesterday.
And that, I suppose, is what this picture is about.
